Abstract

ac-[Re(N,N) (CO)3(H2O)] (N,N = (2-picolylamine- κ2N,N') (20 mg, 0.051 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (5 mL) and 2-picolylamine (5.36 mL, 0.051 mmol) dissolved in (10 mL) methanol was added. The solution was then stirred for 30 min and then refluxed for 24 h at room temperature and the light yellow solution was left to crystallize (Yield = 15.25 mg, 84 %; FTIR (cm−1) Vco: 2024, 1909).
