Strengthening pharmaceutical information systems for management of primary level services in Cape Town, South Africa
Abstract
Background: High-quality information can be used to manage primary level health services effectively. Most pharmacists, however, are not trained in information systems; consequently pharmaceutical information systems are poorly developed, and information is rarely used to plan and manage pharmaceutical services.
